Kokiriko Sasara
This is a traditional Japanese percussion instrument called binzasara or ita sasara.
Structure and Materials: It has a structure where thin wooden pieces, such as Japanese cypress (hinoki), are tied together with string.
It is used in folk performing arts like the Toyama Prefecture folk song Kokiriko Bushi, and the sound of striking the wooden plates is said to have the meaning of warding off evil spirits by dispelling worldly desires.
Hold the handles at both ends and snap the wooden pieces together to make a sound.
Total length: Approximately 49 cm
Although unused, it has been stored for a long time, so it is listed as Near unused.
