Bamboo Sho (Mouth Organ) with Hard Case
299.00 $
Description
Bamboo Sho (Japanese笙), with hard case.
Thank you for looking.
I purchased this approximately 1.5 years ago used.
It is about 40 years old. As you can see, it has irregular nodes, a plastic headjoint, and real reeds, according to the previous owner.
Shortly after purchasing, I had it cleaned and tuned by a professional sho player and maintenance expert in Tokyo. (Please see the attached invoice in the photos.)
I used this as a practice instrument until I could purchase a new one with regular nodes. I only played it about 3-4 times at home.
It produces sound without any issues.
