Tanaka-ya 120th Anniversary Limited Edition Hichiriki Resin Reed

This is a new, unused item. It has only been opened for inspection and photography.

This special resin reed for the hichiriki was released in 2017 as a limited edition of 500 pieces and sold out. Even after it was no longer available, there were constant requests for its resale.
A very small reissue was recently produced, but it also sold out within minutes. With no future plans for resale, it is considered extremely rare to find on the market.

Key features include the incorporation of biomass resin in addition to the original resin, finished in black to evoke the image of antique reeds. Both the tone and playing feel have received extremely high praise.
It will be shipped in a black resin reed case, along with the outer box and wrapping paper.

Established in 1897, we are proud to celebrate our 120th anniversary.
To commemorate this milestone, we have produced a special limited edition resin reed by blending biomass resin with our traditional ABS foamed resin.
Biomass resin is derived from plants, making it environmentally friendly. Its higher hardness also allows for a slightly different tonal quality.
The base resin is black, inspired by antique reeds, and the winding is finished in a dark brown.
