Description
This is made to the same specifications as the Shishida and Maruyama shinobue.

Congratulations on starting your new job and entering school sale! This flute is planned to be listed for ¥17,000. It's a great deal. First come, first served.

This flute is easy to play, well-balanced, and produces a clear sound. With only one node, it offers a playing experience very close to a shinobue. If you're a shinobue player, why not try a bamboo flute?

As natural materials are used and it is handmade, there may be natural variations in shape, pattern, curvature, and minor imperfections.

Compared to the shinobue, this flute has greater volume (it can be quite piercing to the ears) and superior tone quality.

I have been researching physics for a long time and have succeeded in selecting materials that are easy to play and produce a resonant sound.

I discovered that only bamboo meeting certain conditions can produce sound on its own.

Thickness: Approximately 20.5 mm at the embouchure.
Length: Approximately 44.9 cm.
Embouchure size: Approximately 14.5 mm.
Bamboo hardness: Medium.
Thickness: Slightly thinner than average.
Pitch: Approximately 5.5 to just under 6 hon (a unit of measurement for flute pitch).
Range: Produces clear notes from the lowest to the 5th octave high note (daikouon).

This flute is made based on standard shinobue fingerings. Please note that fingerings, especially for the high octave notes, may vary by region. We recommend confirming these in the comments.

What is a Wafū (Japanese Flute)?
A transverse flute that has been made by flute makers in Kyoto since the Heian period and passed down throughout Japan.
The traditional form of hayashi (festival music) and satokagura (Shinto shrine music), which are designated as intangible cultural assets, is the wafū (bamboo flute). (It is a Japanese indigenous transverse flute.)
Characteristics:
It is characterized by nodes, typically made from madake (giant bamboo) or awadake (hachiku bamboo). It is also called a bamboo flute.
It reached its peak from the mid-Edo to the Taisho periods and spread throughout the country, used in local hayashi and satokagura.
However, it declined from the end of the Taisho period into the Showa period. Around this time, the Shishida brand shinobue became widespread, and the difficult-to-play and expensive wafū seemed to lose out to the shinobue.

The origin of the wafū (bamboo flute) is in Kyoto, and the origin of the shinobue is in Tokyo. (Kyoto's bamboo flute, Edo's shinobue) (Dragon's bamboo flute, Lion's shinobue)

There appear to be only a few wafū craftsmen remaining in Japan. (As it is extremely difficult to make, very few can play and craft them.)
They seem to be quite expensive (around ¥50,000).
I strive to make wafū that are as easy to play and resonant as possible, at an affordable price.
Please note that price reductions are not possible.
