Description
This is made to the same specifications as the Shishida and Maruyama shinobue flutes.

This flute has small finger holes and excellent high-pitched sounds. Recommended for women and children.

Most beginners can produce low notes, but often struggle with high notes or the very high pee sound. Many are unsure if their current flute can produce these sounds properly.

This flute was created based on feedback from instructors across various regions (focusing on ease of producing high notes, clear high-pitched sounds, and affordability).

It is recommended that beginners do not purchase an expensive flute initially. Instead, they should practice producing high and very high-pitched sounds, and then visit a shop to try out flutes and purchase one that suits them after they can play them. (Some flutes look good but cannot produce clear high-pitched sounds.) It is also said that progress is faster if one starts lessons after being able to produce some sounds.

To prioritize ease of playing, resonance, and affordability, there may be minor imperfections such as scratches, natural shapes, natural patterns, and natural bends.

An image with a 10mm ball is provided for reference regarding hole size.

Thickness: Approximately 17.6mm at the mouthpiece.
Length: Approximately 41.9cm.
Mouthpiece opening: Approximately 13.5mm.
Thickness: Slightly thin.
(Thicker flutes have better low-note resonance, while thinner flutes have better high-pitched sound production.)
Wall thickness: 2 out of 5 levels.
(Thicker walls improve high-pitched sound and resonance, while thinner walls make it easier to play.)
Pitch: Approximately 7.5 shaku.

Tonal range: Clear from low tones (Ro-on) up to the 5th high-pitched note.

What is Yake-take (Roasted Bamboo)?
This is the material with the best resonance among shinobue bamboo. Roasting bamboo thoroughly inside makes it harder and improves its resonance. However, it is difficult to process due to the scarcity of suitable materials.
Resonance further improves when made naturally. Bamboo grows by competing for light. Therefore, bamboo that wins this competition for light is best suited for flutes. (We have many years of research in physics utilizing natural principles, allowing us to identify suitable bamboo.)

What is Tou-nuri (Transparent Coating) finish?
Using pigments in the paint makes it easier to produce sound. Furthermore, carving grooves inside and allowing the paint to soak in further improves sound production and resonance.

Please note:
This flute produces very clear high-pitched and very high-pitched sounds. When blowing strongly, please ensure there are no people around. Please be especially careful with small children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and those who are not feeling well.
