Description
This is made to the same specifications as the Shishida and Maruyama shinobue.

There are some peeled skin and scratches, but no cracks. It is relatively easy to play, has good overall resonance, and is a great value.

This one is relatively well-balanced and produces good sound. The high notes also come out well.

Made from natural materials and by hand, so there are natural shapes, patterns, bends, and scratches.

The volume (piercing to the ears) and tone quality are superior to the shinobue.

I have been researching physics for a long time and have succeeded in selecting materials that are easy to play and produce a good sound.

I discovered that only bamboo that meets certain conditions can produce sound on its own.

Thickness: Approximately 22.1 mm around the mouthpiece.

Length: Approximately 48.7 cm.

Mouthpiece size: Approximately 14.5 mm.

Bamboo hardness: Normal.

Thickness: Normal.

Pitch: Slightly less than 5 hon to around 5 hon.

Range: From low notes to high notes up to 5 hon, it resonates cleanly.

This instrument is made based on the standard fingerings and scales of general shinobue. Fingerings may vary by region, especially for special fingerings and high notes. We recommend confirming in the comments.

What is Wa-dake (Japanese bamboo flute)?
It is a transverse flute that has been made by flute makers in Kyoto since the Heian period and passed down throughout the country.
The hayashi (festival music) and Satokagura (Shinto shrine music), which are designated as intangible cultural assets, are the original forms of wa-dake (Japanese bamboo flute). (It is a Japanese indigenous transverse flute.)
Characteristics:
It is characterized by nodes, such as those found in madake (giant timber bamboo) and awadake (a type of bamboo). It is also called a bamboo flute.
It reached its peak from the mid-Edo period to the Meiji period and spread throughout the country, where it was used in local hayashi and Satokagura.
However, it declined from the end of the Meiji period to the Showa period. Around this time, shinobue with the Shishida brand became widespread throughout the country, and the difficult-to-play and expensive wa-dake seemed to lose out to the shinobue.

The origin of wa-dake (bamboo flute) is in Kyoto, and the origin of shinobue is in Tokyo. (Kyoto's bamboo flute, Edo's shinobue) (Dragon's bamboo flute, Lion's shinobue)

There seem to be only a few wa-dake craftsmen nationwide. (It is extremely difficult to make and play, so there are very few craftsmen who can master both.)
They seem to be quite expensive (around 50,000 yen).
We strive to make wa-dake that are as easy to play and resonant as possible at an affordable price.
Please note that price reductions are not possible.
