◇About the Creator◇
We sell handmade shinobue flutes made by a father and daughter who have been a shinobue instructor in Shimane Prefecture for about 25 years and are flute makers. We hunt for female bamboo (shinobue bamboo) that grows in the Shizuma River (formerly Ginzan River), and craft shinobue and kagurabue flutes from bamboo dried for over 3 years.

◇Shipping Method◇
We will ship within 1-3 days using Mercari's anonymous shipping with eco-friendly packaging. If you are in a hurry, please leave a comment.

[Specifications] Accessories: Instruction manual (finger chart)
◯Length: Approx. 43-45cm, Diameter: Approx. 19-21mm (near the embouchure)
◯Material: Shinobue bamboo (female bamboo) (dried for over 3 years and then heat-treated)
◯Holes: Inner surface coated with synthetic azuki bean color lacquer (cashew)
◯Outer surface: Coated with synthetic black lacquer (cashew)
◯Wrapping thread: Ivory color

A 16g weight is placed inside the head joint to adjust stability.
The reflector on the embouchure is made with wood putty to prevent it from melting even in the summer heat.

The flute is tuned to produce Ro-on (1st octave), Ko-on (2nd octave), and Dai-ko-on (3rd octave) with four levels of breath strength.
*As natural shinobue bamboo is used, there will be differences in tone and playing feel for each flute.
Those who are already accustomed to flutes from other makers may require some practice to produce the Dai-ko-on range.
Additionally, the way the sound is produced may vary depending on the individual product and the player's skill.

◇Please Note◇
*This is a handmade item.
We offer it at an affordable price with the hope that many people will experience the shinobue.
We ask for your understanding in this regard. Please check the condition in the photos, and refrain from purchasing if you are seeking perfection.
*We ship after inspection, but in the unlikely event of an initial defect, please contact us before confirming receipt. We will promptly arrange for an exchange.
*As it is natural bamboo, there may be scratches or processing marks. These do not affect the sound.
