Description
This is a set of two Shinobue flutes for Miyako, one in 5.5-hole D/E tuning and one in 9.5-hole D/E tuning. Both are made of plain bamboo without wrapping and tuned to 445Hz. All notes are playable from the fundamental to the 5th octave high C (for the 5.5-hole) and up to the 4th octave high C (for the 9.5-hole), producing a beautiful tone.
Shape and tone are similar to the Rōdō flute.
Interior is lacquered with black cashew urushi.
