Standard kotos are approximately 180cm in length, so this is about half that size.
Miniature kotos have existed for a long time and are called short kotos. However, since Zen-On released the Bunkakoto, they have also been called mini kotos or mini wagotos.
Among these, the standard is Zen-On's Hagoromo, which is 86cm long. This product is a 93cm long koto. Although it's only a few centimeters difference, the volume is significant enough to be used for performance activities.

The biggest feature is the use of guitar-like pegs, allowing you to tune and change strings yourself.
Typically, kotos require a craftsman for stringing. The ability to tune and change strings yourself is highly valued.

● Super Easy String Tightening: Simply turn the pegs, which have the same structure as guitar pegs, to easily tighten or loosen the strings.
● Super Easy String Replacement: You can replace strings by winding them around a paper stopper near the underside of the cloud-shaped bridge and then tying (winding) them onto the pegs.

● Sudare-Bori (Reed-like Carving)
This is a process where resin is applied in a reed-like pattern to the underside of the soundboard to improve acoustics. As shown in the photo, the uneven surface amplifies the beautiful resonance of the instrument. The volume and the spread of sound from the instrument are remarkably different, considering it's only 6cm shorter than the standard Zen-On mini koto.
