Six Moon Designs Deschutes Plus Tarp - Gray
Six Moon Designs Deschutes Plus Tarp
I purchased this new and used it for a few camping and hiking trips. However, since getting married, my partner and I have been going on more mountain trips together, so it's been used less often, which is why I'm selling it.
While there are signs of use, the bottom fabric, which is prone to damage, is intact, and I believe it's in good condition.
(After use, I dried it at home and wiped away any noticeable dirt with a damp cloth.)

Quoted from the Moonlight Gear website:
The Deschutes Plus Tarp is the successor to the Wild Oasis, which was SMD's most niche shelter. With an increase in interior height from 115cm to 122cm, the livability has significantly improved!
Although it has a niche appearance, the bottom netting that surrounds all four sides makes it a tarp shelter that can be comfortably used in Japanese mountains regardless of the season.

■ Wide Usable Area
The bug netting that hangs down from the four walls falls almost vertically to the ground.
This is its most distinctive feature, allowing for a large internal activity area even when the entrance is closed.
The space is wide enough to store gear on either side, and you can lie down slightly diagonally without your sleeping bag touching the fabric, allowing you to enjoy a luxurious space.

■ Mesh Blocks Insects, Snow, and Fallen Leaves
The bottom mesh not only constantly sends fresh air into the interior but also serves to block insects, powdery snow, and fallen leaves from entering.
While it's primarily a 3-season shelter, it can also be useful in late spring snow or early winter conditions below the treeline, depending on how it's used.

■ Peace of Mind with Immediate Visibility of Surroundings
When staying in the mountains, it's common to encounter wild animals at night.
The Deschutes Plus Tarp allows you to immediately observe your surroundings through the 360-degree mesh even while sleeping. Being able to constantly check the direction of sounds and any external anomalies provides immediate peace of mind and eliminates unnecessary worries.

The Deschutes Plus Tarp offers the openness of a tarp while providing the sense of security of a shelter. It's by no means a niche tent and is highly recommended as an introductory model for floorless shelters.
With its mesh, it weighs a measured 450g. This is a lightweight model that has undergone an unmissable evolution.
