Replacing the lead wires is an easy and highly effective way to improve sound quality in record playback. We hope you will give them a try.

These are turntable cartridge lead wires made with rare 1960 Western Electric 24GA solid core wire, brown enamel, and custom gold-plated tips. While cross-wire solid core is common, vintage solid core with these specifications is rare. Compared to fabric-wrapped cross solid core, these wires offer a straight, low center of gravity, and are adept at delicate expression, making them suitable for almost any genre. We recommend these for beginners or those who found fabric-wrapped W.E. wires didn't quite suit them.

The custom tips are designed to be highly resistant to the common issues of lead wires: damage during attachment/detachment and accidental breakage. The tough structure and easy-to-attach shape of the tips prevent failures due to breakage, even for those new to replacing lead wires. If the terminals on your cartridge or headshell are large, the connector will naturally expand when pressed onto the terminal, creating a snug fit.

In the unlikely event of damage during attachment or detachment, we will send a replacement. The total length, including the tips, is approximately 4.5 cm.

While these are the most standard and versatile, they are particularly perfect for records with strong drum beats, such as those by D'Angelo, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Prince, J Dilla, Questlove, and others.

The purity of the materials used in this era, when good quality metals were abundant, such as those used by WE and Belden, is incomparably higher than modern wires made from melted and reused existing copper. They conduct signals from records most musically.

You can experience the nuances of the performers more deeply, and achieve monitoring with such resolution and depth that you can grasp the intentions of mixing and mastering. While normal lead wires might produce a harsh sound, lead wires made with high-purity materials offer a completely different experience. Of course, sound preferences vary from person to person, but with vintage wires, you can achieve an audible improvement in sound quality at first listen.
