This is the WÜTOP® SD Vario Zwei, a high-performance humidity-regulating airtight sheet developed by WÜRTH, a German manufacturer of tools and building materials.

Designed to prevent condensation within house walls, this sheet is gaining attention among UL hikers and floorless shelter users as the next choice due to its high specifications.

■ Reasons why this material is chosen

① Smart Material with Variable Permeability
Variable permeability structure with an SD value of 0.15-5m (EN 1849-2).
Permeable to moisture when dry, and blocks it when humid.
This is a fundamentally different design philosophy from sheets that simply provide waterproofing.

② Fully Waterproof (W1 Standard) x Thin 0.22mm
Waterproof performance is the highest W1 standard (completely impermeable to water).
The thickness is only 0.22mm, and the operating temperature is -40℃ to 80℃.
The polyamide coating provides superior resistance to abrasion compared to Tyvek.

③ Two-layer structure of non-woven fabric x film
Film side (waterproof) → Ground side
Non-woven fabric side (moisture absorption) → Tent/sleeping bag side
This orientation blocks moisture from the ground while allowing moisture from inside the tent to escape.
