Moving Yokai Exhibition is the world's first immersive, experiential digital art museum where you can immerse yourself in Japan's proud yokai art, such as Hyakki Yako Emaki (Night Parade of a Hundred Demons scroll), Hyaku Monogatari (Hundred Tales), Oni (demons), Tengu (long-nosed goblins), Kappa (water sprites), and Tsukumogami (animated objects), drawn by various artists from the Edo and Meiji periods, using cutting-edge video technology and three-dimensional models.
Born from the rich imagination of ancient Japanese myths and legends, Japanese yokai have been loved by people around the world across generations. Their humorous forms, depicted in yokai paintings and caricatures, are dynamically brought to life using cutting-edge digital technologies such as 3DCG, projection mapping, and holographic screens, while realistic yokai worlds are recreated with three-dimensional models.
Furthermore, with the cooperation of the Nishio City Iwase Bunko, Japan's first ancient book museum, and the Yokai Museum on Shodoshima Island, the exhibition not only explains yokai culture, yokai paintings, caricatures, and yokai art, but also unravels the culture and history of yokai that connect to modern pop culture.

Please enjoy this new sensation art entertainment exhibition where adults and children alike can enjoy, learn, and experience yokai culture as you get lost in the YOKAI world that fascinates the globe.
