- This is a converter that allows Atari standard joysticks to be used as a keyboard substitute.
- It connects to the keyboard connector and enables you to play DOS games that only support keyboard input using a joystick.
- We confirmed that the buttons on a Panasonic JOY PAD (FS-JS222) function as Space and Enter when used with N88-BASIC(86) launched on a PC-9801RA21.
- The above confirmation was done in AUTO MODE 1.
- We also confirmed that arbitrary keyboard keys can be registered in PROGRAM MODE.

▽ Differences from JC-AD2
The method of entering PROGRAM MODE differs.
- JC-AD1: Turn on the PC-98 power supply while holding down both the A and B buttons on the joystick.
- JC-AD2: Turn on the PC-98 power supply, and after N88-BASIC(86) starts up, press the MODE SW button on the JC-AD2 unit itself.
