The unit on the top is being sold as junk because I, an amateur, attempted solder repairs. It is currently working normally. It has Electro-Harmonix vacuum tubes installed. (Photo 1)
Repair details: The ribbon cable came off during vacuum tube replacement. (Photo 3 shows the solder condition)
The unit on the bottom has constant noise and is truly junk. It has the original vacuum tubes installed. It can be used for parts. (Photo 6 shows the cover is also in poor condition)
(Details: Constant noise, crackling noise from both input and output knobs. It was defective from the start, but I didn't realize it due to lack of knowledge. I succumbed to rumors that replacing the vacuum tubes would fix it and missed the return period.)
When replacing the vacuum tubes, please carefully lift the lid from the knob side, using the photos as a guide, without being lazy. (Photos 7, 8)
If you pry it open from the opposite side, you will end up like me.
I was concerned that the light from the Electro-Harmonix vacuum tubes was weaker than the accessories, but I confirmed a slight illumination. (Photo 4)
According to AI, the light varies by product, and some are dim. Furthermore, if the vacuum tubes are not recognized, no sound will come out and mode switching will not be possible. Since sound is coming out in this condition, I have determined that the repaired unit on the top is operational.
