Used Hatchet [Kiwami] Firewood Splitting Vintage Style

I purchased this previously on Mercari.

It was cost-effective and I really liked that it was unique.

I'm selling it because I have fewer opportunities to go camping.

There are scuffs and dirt from splitting firewood. It has been used infrequently, only for test cuts.

The blade is still in almost the same condition as when purchased.

The case has some scratches.

Remade in a vintage style

Orthodox shape, easy for anyone to use. The curved blade distributes force evenly, making it easy to handle. It's a versatile type recommended not only for splitting firewood but also for trimming branches.

The handle has been completely polished, the paint removed, and then treated with a焼き目加工 (charring process), followed by oil finishing with oil stain [Walnut] & Briwax.

It's a compact and easy-to-use short axe, with the original handle slightly shortened.

The top of the handle and the paracord grip have been finished with a snake knot weave in olive color for a more vintage look.

Axes of this type often require sharpening upon arrival to be usable, but this one is already sharpened and ready to use immediately.
(Please understand that this is amateur sharpening and there may be some unevenness.)
There may be minor chips on the blade during the sharpening process, but this will not significantly affect its use for splitting firewood.
Further sharpening with a diamond sharpener available at home centers or 100-yen shops will increase its sharpness.

You can use this as your own personal hand axe, as it's unlikely to be the same as anyone else's.
