Focusrite ISA828 (Early Model with Digital Card)

Focusrite ISA828 (Early Model with Digital Card)

Thank you for looking.
This is an early model ISA828 8-channel mic preamp from the All Access era.
It's a popular model that allows you to easily incorporate the classic ISA sound with its high-quality 8-channel mic preamps equipped with premium transformers.
Considering the price per channel, it's a very good deal. This unit comes with the optional digital card (A/D converter), so it also supports digital output.

[Operational Status]
About six months ago, I connected it to an audio interface via SPDIF cable for live recording, and it worked perfectly at that time.
I haven't used it since then, but I performed the following checks for this listing:

- Confirmed sound output by connecting dynamic microphones to all channels.
- On channel 7 only, there is a very slight noise when turning the Gain knob.
- Also on channel 7 only, the switch for Gain 30-60 appears to be non-functional (though it lights up).
- Instrument Inputs (channels 1-4) have been confirmed to be working.
- Line Inputs have not been tested.
- The impedance switching function, a characteristic of the ISA series, appears to be working.
Overall, it is in good working condition and still fully capable for recording purposes.
However, as I am not a recording engineer, I have not performed comprehensive checks with specialized measurement equipment or a reference environment, so there may be oversights or missed issues.
Please consider this before making a purchase.

[Appearance and Condition]
- Operation confirmed (see above).
- There are minor scratches and signs of use on the exterior, but overall it is in good condition. (Please check the photos.)
- Used and stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.
- The unit has been cleaned overall before listing.

[Accessories]
- Power cable
- Digital card (installed)

The early production run of the ISA828 has a different component configuration and transformer specifications than later models, and is popular with engineers who prefer a warmer sound quality.
Audio equipment prices are steadily increasing, and I am reluctant to part with it.
This model is rarely available now, so please consider this opportunity.
As this is a very heavy and high-value item, it will be shipped using Packing and Shipping Tano-Meru Bin (a specialized shipping service for large/heavy items in Japan).
