Urizun is a lure named after the season when the fishing season truly begins.
In Okinawa's fields, where windy conditions are common year-round, casting distance provides an advantage to anglers.
Its action is more subdued than typical spoons, making it less likely to spook fish. When fish aren't biting on the retrieve, it's effective to let it free-fall, where it will flutter back and forth.
By falling with a taut but not tight line, it will backslide, allowing you to target hard-to-reach spots near the reef.
As a special trick, if you attach it upside down, it will perform a subtle roll and fall horizontally, which is effective for targeting finicky rockfish.
It casts as far as metal jigs and can handle bluefish blitzes.
