DENON CD Player DCD-1650SR Serviced and Working 2004 Model S/N920

The power transformer is mounted on a resin-floated transformer base within a cast trunk case, shared with the higher-end model DCD-S10IIIL, to cut low-frequency noise (see image 14). This popular model features AL24 Processing technology and uses Burr-Brown's 24-bit DAC (PCM1704), demonstrating a commitment to sound quality. As this is a later model of the DCD-1650SR, there are some minor scratches overall, but it is in good condition.

For this listing, although the pickup lens was still functional, it was making gear noise, so the entire yoke was replaced and silicone grease was applied to the sliding parts. The rubber belt for tray opening/closing, which is a common cause of tray opening/closing issues, the rocker switch, and the overcurrent protection element have all been replaced with new parts.
There are cases where the DAC on the L-channel of the DCD-1650SR fails due to its own heat generation. To prevent this, heatsinks have been attached to the DACs on both channels (see images 15-16). *These were not installed from new, so they do not guarantee prevention of DAC degradation. If the DAC fails, one or both channels will not output when connected analogously. Additionally, the back of the circuit board was inspected with a magnifying glass for solder cracks. Low-viscosity, high-grade synthetic oil has also been applied to the oil-impregnated bearings of each motor output shaft.

Playback has been confirmed to have no issues with output on both channels via analog RCA and digital OPTICAL connections. The PHONES jack has been cleaned for crackling.
