Espoir tents are starting to gain attention again.
Purchased at an outdoor shop about 8 years ago.
It's a single-wall tent, but it's lightweight, wind-resistant, and excellent for use in snowy mountains. It's fine even if it freezes. Plus, it has mesh, so you can spend comfortable nights in the summer mountains without insects getting in.
There is no odor, but there are some minor remaining dirt stains like sand. There is a small hole in the dedicated pole storage bag, but the tent itself is in good condition with no holes.
A comparable new tent costs ¥45,100. This series appears to be discontinued.
A groundsheet is included, so you can feel secure even in rain or snow.
This is a recommended tent for those who have no tent experience but want to try tent camping in the mountains!
