Mr. Osamu Sato, who trained under the legendary Milanese tailor Mario Pecora, inherited his techniques and philosophy and established his shop in Ginza. It is a renowned establishment that crafts lifetime pieces admired by fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
Born in Tateyama as the third-generation tailor, Mr. Sato studied the basics in Japan and moved to France in 1988. After gaining experience as a modelist, he trained at the Milanese tailor Mario Pecora for five years from 1990. Upon returning to Japan, he opened Pecora Ginza in 2000 and is known as a pioneer who popularized authentic Italian suits in Japan.
The suits created by Mr. Sato are characterized by a chest area that is moderately soft and voluminous, a shaped waist that does not feel tiring to wear, and an Italian-style rounded silhouette. Furthermore, the high proportion of handwork and the difficult techniques used in the collar attachment, which are not possible in standard factory production, allow his style to achieve a beautiful tailoring comparable to bespoke suits even in made-to-measure.
The meticulous handwork evident in details such as buttonholes and stitching creates an art form that moves the observer, truly embodying a suit for adults.
