MC step-up transformers and MC cartridges with iron cores become magnetized due to long-term use and various causes.

When magnetized, a magnetic bias is applied, shifting the operating point and causing distortion in the reproduced music signal, leading to sound quality degradation. To restore the product's original sound quality, this residual magnetism must be removed.

Leveraging its expertise in producing MC step-up transformers and iron-core MC cartridges, Phasemation is releasing the DG-100 (nickname: Magnetism Buster) as a degausser optimized for this purpose.
