Audio system rack manufactured by TRiO (predecessor to KENWOOD) from the cassette tape era.

Model: SRM-5DF / MADE IN JAPAN

Includes 2 genuine cassette cases.
Casters are in good condition and function without issue.

- Main body: Particle board + silver-gray melamine decorative board
- Door: Single-opening glossy gray acrylic door with 2 cylindrical aluminum knobs
- Interior left: Large storage space (intended for audio equipment, records, etc.)
- Interior right: 2-tier pull-out cassette cases (each holds approx. 15 tapes)
- 4 chrome-plated metal casters
- Graphics CASSETTE TAPE and ACCESSORIES on the front fixed panel
This rack was specifically designed during the golden age of cassette culture.

TRiO changed its name to KENWOOD in 1986, so this item was manufactured before that.
Racks specifically designed for everyday cassette tape use are rarely available today, and units with their original accessories (cassette cases) are particularly uncommon.

- Stains and scratches on the top panel.
- Discoloration due to oxidation on the aluminum knobs.
- No issues with the operation of the door, casters, or drawers.
- No wobbling.

This is an antique item, in a condition that does not impede daily use.

The label still reads “CASSETTE TAPE.” That was the whole point
