Replacing the earphone cable and swapping music files on the PC did not resolve the issue. The click wheel operates normally. There is a black line on a portion of the LCD screen. Other than the lack of sound output, the device is functional, and is being listed for those who can utilize it for parts. Please also note that the battery is not included.
The battery is not included, and even with a battery installed, the iPod does not produce sound as it should, rendering it unusable. Please only purchase if you understand and accept these conditions.
