[Fishing Report]
May 24, 2022 Weather: Sunny Temperature: 18-25°C Water Temperature: 19°C (slightly high)
Mayfly shucks and carcasses were found on rocky areas, signaling the peak season for dry flies.
In the early morning, fish were feeding on something drifting, with ripples appearing everywhere, hinting at a great catch. Initially, small CDC midge imitations #20, micro caddis #20, and stretch body CDC thorax duns #18 were cast, and as expected, resulted in continuous hits. Afterwards, larger caddis #16, CDC thorax duns, quill body parachute #14, stretch body parachute #14, and other flies listed were tried, but most casts resulted in a hit. Around 9 AM, the wind picked up, making fly fishing difficult. However, by skillfully using wet and sinking flies, a total of 94 fish were caught: 67 on dry flies and 27 on sinking flies, making for a fantastic day of fishing.
