Flapper Caddis Dry Fly Set of 7 (No.26-4-29)

⚫️ Flapper Caddis
(Fluttering Caddis)

Flapper refers to a wing construction that combinesラムズウール (lamb's wool) underneath with elk hair on top.

This is a fly pattern that imitates the appearance of a newly emerged adult caddisfly (トビケラ) fluttering on the water's surface.

❶ Action: It entices fish with its fluttering movement on the water's surface. Therefore, high buoyancy and good visibility on the water are preferred.

❷ Materials: The standard construction uses elk hair for the wing, with tightly wound cock hackle and lamb's wool to ensure buoyancy.

❸ Effective Situations: This pattern is highly effective during peak caddisfly emergence times or when targeting rising fish (when fish feed on insects on the water's surface). Alongside the Elk Hair Caddis, it is one of the essential dry flies that can be widely used from mountain streams to lakes.
