Purchased several decades ago and found in the back of a desk at my parents' home.
When I inserted batteries and pressed the play button, the indicator lit up, but it did not play.
I searched for the cause and learned that replacing the belt would improve it, so I performed minimal repairs to enable tape playback.
Volume adjustment cannot be finely tuned, but it can be listened to in a large, medium, or small range.
(The dial makes a grinding sound when turned.)
Playback possible, drive confirmed.
