Sony Discman D-120 Working Condition

This is the standard black Discman D-120. The surface has some minor scratches, but all functions are solid and it can be used without any problems. Some of the internal electrolytic capacitors on this unit have been replaced, but both the earphone OUT and LINE OUT produce clear sound. Furthermore, when comparing the sound with original parts, you will likely not notice any difference in sound quality.

While susceptibility to vibration and skipping is a characteristic of this model, it should be perfectly fine for use on a desk.

It may be rare for people to take portable CD players out these days, but this D-120, in exchange for not having strict anti-skip measures, boasts a straightforward and good sound quality. A long time ago, an audio critic recommended this D-120, stating that running it on batteries and placing it vertically with LINE OUT output produced better sound than any other CD player (including large ones). I truly agree with this.

There are dirt and scratches on the front and back, but it does not look dirty by any means.
It has become quite difficult to find a D-120 that works, let alone one in its original condition.

However, as this is an old model, we cannot guarantee its continued operation over the years.
