Description

ART's direct box offers professional sound quality.
The XDirect is an active direct box for connecting unbalanced instrument, line, or speaker signals to balanced inputs.
Input signals are sent to a transformer-isolated XLR output and a parallel thru jack, allowing simultaneous connection to an amplifier on stage. The only ART DI box model with both 1/4 TRS and XLR inputs, the XDirect expands connectivity.
Simple and durable, the XDirect is a compact DI housed in a robust aluminum chassis with versatile features. Front panel switches provide up to 40dB of attenuation for high-level signals, and a low-pass Bessel filter eliminates high-frequency interference. Rear panel switches turn ground lift on/off to reduce hum and invert signal polarity to resolve potential phase issues when combining DI and microphone sources.
The active circuitry operates on phantom power or a new 9-volt battery for over 250 hours. Active DIs are ideal for sources such as guitars and basses with passive pickups, or acoustic guitars with piezo pickups and no onboard preamp.
