Serviced and fully functional SONY TCM-48 monaural cassette recorder

Overview: Ideal for transcribing meeting recordings or for small dance lessons. This is a monaural cassette recorder that can play back at a decent volume despite its compact size. It has been serviced not just to function, but to be usable by a student council president who is also a school idol in her daily life.

Features:
- Rear twin speakers
- Sound quality selector switch. When set to Meeting, treble is cut for tape transcription. Use Music for general playback.
- Continuously variable playback speed adjustment
- Tape counter
- External microphone jack
- Cue & Review
- External power jack (3V, EIAJ#1 AC-E30M compatible)

Repairs: Please refer to images 5, 6, and 7.

Notes:
- Due to concerns about pinch roller hardening, the price has been increased to cover the cost of countermeasures. Price reduction requests will be ignored unless competitors offering the same model with equivalent servicing (this is important) appear at a lower price. The price will be gradually reduced if it doesn't sell, with a floor of 5200 yen.
- Occasionally, customers confuse this unit with a Walkman. This is a monaural tape recorder. While any 2-pole, 3-pole, or 4-pole mono earphone will play normally, when headphones or stereo earphones are connected, the right channel will not produce sound. If you wish to listen with both ears, please use a 2-pole male to 3-pole female conversion adapter. (As this is a monaural cassette recorder, it will not output stereo sound.)
- This sale is for the main unit only. Please provide your own recording tapes and two AA batteries separately.
- The speaker at the bottom of this unit will only turn off when a standard earphone with an impedance of 32Ω or less is connected. (The structure is designed to cut power to the amplifier when it detects a load on the earphone jack.)
- Due to lighting conditions, the enlarged image of the pause SW in image 3 appears washed out. A clearer enlarged image is provided in image 2.
- There are some noticeable scratches. Please refer to image 4.
