DBX 386 Dual Vacuum Tube Preamplifier W/Digital Out

This is a 2-channel tube microphone preamplifier from DBX. Despite being a tube mic pre, it offers low distortion and clear sound quality. It is resistant to distortion even when the gain is pushed, faithfully amplifying the original sound. It also features instrument inputs and digital outputs, making it a convenient microphone preamplifier.

Operation has been confirmed, and it has been used infrequently. The vacuum tubes are still in good condition.
There are minor scratches and tape marks from being installed and removed from a rack, but it is in relatively good condition for its age.

A 2-channel microphone preamplifier using vacuum tubes to bring out the warmth of your sound sources. Each channel is equipped with a 12AU7A tube and driven by a 270V anode voltage. It reproduces a thick, warm sound quality that is often lost in digital production environments. The DRIVE knob and PEAK indicator allow adjustment of the input level to the vacuum tube amplification stage. Microphone and line inputs are electronically balanced. It also features a high-impedance (470kΩ) instrument input, supporting a wide range of sound sources. It is equipped with insert terminals for easy connection of other effects. The AD converter employs dbx's proprietary Type IV system, which expands the dynamic range. Digital output is available in AES/EBU or S/PDIF format, supporting sampling frequencies of 96kHz, 88.2kHz, 48kHz, and 44.1kHz. Output is possible at 24-bit, 20-bit, and 16-bit, with two dithering algorithms and two filter characteristics to choose from. External synchronization is also supported.
Analog and digital output levels can be adjusted independently. A 12-segment level meter displays the output level.
Equipped with a 75Hz, 12dB/oct high-pass filter to suppress unwanted low-frequency noise.
The microphone input features 48V phantom power, a 20dB pad, and a phase inversion function.
