Operation Confirmed TASCAM 424 MKIII Includes 10 New Tapes Cassette MTR

TASCAM 424 MKIII PORTASTUDIO

Thank you for looking.
This is a TASCAM 4-track cassette MTR.
It was considered the top-of-the-line and a masterpiece in this format of MTR.

Currently, with the global trend of returning to analog, this MKIII is said to have the most refined operability and sound quality in the series, and is becoming extremely rare in the market.

●Appeal of this model

Unique analog sound: Natural compression and saturation created during recording. A warm, thick sound that cannot be reproduced by PC plugins.

Intuitive mixing: Intuitive sound creation is possible using physical faders and a 3-band EQ.

Pitch control: By changing the tape speed, you can create unique floating sounds perfect for Lo-fi hip-hop and electronic music, or ambient music.

●Condition
I acquired this unit about 10 years ago with the belts replaced, used it for a short period, and then stored it. For this listing, I have confirmed its operation, and all major functions such as recording/playback, channel faders, EQ, and pitch control are confirmed to be working almost normally.
One point to note is that there is some crackling noise from the headphone monitor knob, but it can be adjusted to sound normal, so there is no issue with use.

●Exterior
The plastic parts of the knobs and faders appear to be yellowed, but they are firm without any cracks. There are shallow scratches on the front panel that are visible depending on the light, but they are not damage and do not affect usability. Overall, I personally think it is sufficiently clean for a unit of its age.

●Accessories: Genuine AC adapter (rare on its own)
●Printed manual (English) and service manuals for maintenance (Japanese, English)
●10 new high-position cassette tapes. New high-position tapes are also increasing in price and becoming harder to obtain each year, so I believe these have value.

I would be happy to sell this to someone who will use it with care and can complete the transaction promptly.
