An FM/AM tuner equipped with an NFB transistor switching MPX circuit.
The front-end section uses three low-noise dual-gate MOS FETs in the RF and mixer stages, reducing cross-modulation and improving practical sensitivity.
Furthermore, the adoption of a linear frequency 4-gang variable capacitor for the tuning circuit has significantly improved various characteristics.
The MPX circuit employs Yamaha's original transistor switching type average demodulation circuit, which applies NFB similar to that used in audio amplifiers.
This eliminates the need for conventional SCA filters, preventing phase distortion and degradation of high-frequency separation, allowing for FM broadcasts to be received with transparent sound quality.
