■ Quantity: 2 tubes
■ Manufacturing: Blackburn factory, UK
■ Features: Square getter / Long mesh plate
These are early production EF86 tubes manufactured in the 1950s at Mullard's Blackburn factory in the UK. Their most distinctive feature is the square getter, a rare specification clearly distinguished from the round (halo getter) type found in later production.
The combination of long mesh plates and square getters is highly regarded as the pinnacle of EF86 sound quality, earning high praise from collectors and engineers worldwide for use in Hi-Fi audio preamplifier stages, as original first-stage tubes in VOX AC30/AC15 amplifiers, and as preamp tubes in Neumann U67 microphones.
■ Condition
Both tubes have been tested for power. Filament illumination has been confirmed. Due to long-term storage, there may be slight oxidation on the pins. Please check the photos for the exterior condition.
■ Shipping
The items will be carefully packed with cushioning material and shipped.
■ Stock Availability
Multiple sets from the same lot are currently listed. Please leave a comment if you wish to purchase multiple sets.
※As these are vintage vacuum tubes, returns and refunds are not accepted. Please purchase with understanding.
