This is a Yaen that has been tested and proven to catch fish.
We arrived at this design after much trial and error! The FLAP Roller Yaen is specialized for catching fish.
It is an ultra-lightweight, one-touch roller Yaen that has been simplified and stripped of unnecessary features, focusing on hooking the fish securely without causing any discomfort to the squid.
The roller is a straight Yaen with PTFE (fluoropolymer resin) tubing and a slave specification. It is my personal belief that the risk of line trouble due to the sudden splash of a lift-up Yaen upon water entry is unnecessary. If the weight balance is correct, it will naturally lift up (Head Up) upon arrival! In particular, my Yaen's FLAP acts like an airplane wing, receiving water pressure and causing it to Head Up upon arrival. Of course, it will also Head Up when you set the hook. Furthermore, to accommodate 20cm horse mackerel, the distance from the first fulcrum to the tip is approximately 20cm, and the hook has been changed to L size.
When the horse mackerel is held vertically, it is highly likely to be hooked in the mouth.
The first fulcrum roller has a diameter of 2mm, so a Yaen stopper can also be used.
During the trial production, several friends tested it and reported feeling the hook set the moment it arrived.
