This is the best board for enjoying both small and good waves. However, you need to be careful not to over-ride it. The size is also perfect.

The Ying Yang was born out of countless hours spent on the Aphex over the past few years. We wanted to create something that maintained paddle power, speed, and flow with plenty of foam, yet was comfortable for anywhere you'd take a shortboard. Thus, the Ying Yang was born.
Think of it as the Brother of the Aphex. The lower, shorter rail line allows for more critical surfing while maintaining the Aphex's forgiveness. It handles a variety of conditions, generating speed even in fat sections and driving in any direction when there's a wall. Typically used in the 6'2 to 6'7 range, but longer lengths can be made upon request.
