The surfboard is made of epoxy material, with a deck made of soft, elastic EVA material that does not require wax. The bottom is a hard bottom, providing the same glide and propulsion as a regular surfboard for easy takeoffs! It is also durable and a high-quality soft surfboard that both children and adults can enjoy together!
When Al Merrick was an active surfer, he preferred riding a 6'1 performance shortboard at Rincon. However, one day he finally got tired of paddle battles with longboarders. So, Al conceived of a hybrid design that would boast the paddling power of a longboard while retaining the responsiveness of a shortboard.
This inspiration led to the M13, released in 2013. The M13 remains a very popular hybrid model even today. To make this beloved model even easier to ride, Britt has redesigned it over the past few years. By slightly widening the outline and softening the rails, the design has been made several steps easier to handle compared to the original M13, while maintaining paddling power and performance. This is the ultimate mid-length for a high-performance soft top.
