(Golden Week Limited Discount) MUSICA iris50pow Vacuum Tube Amplifier 350C
MUSICA's iris50pow tube amplifier, featuring 6L6GC vacuum tubes.
Original price: ¥250,000
This is a tube amplifier from Musica, a Japanese manufacturer of tube amplifiers.
It is a push-pull tube amplifier using 5881, a reliable tube in the 6L6GC series. Although it appears small, it houses large transformers internally. No noise is noticeable. It is quieter than many transistor amplifiers.
It has the warm sound characteristic of vacuum tubes, but compared to other tube amplifiers, it offers excellent resolution, attack, and rich, tight bass, which we believe is its charm. We highly recommend this amplifier to those looking to get their first tube amplifier.
The vacuum tubes are:
Output tubes: 4 x Shuguang 350C
Preamp tubes: 2 x PM 12AT7
The output tubes are a matched quad, almost new with only a few hours of use. (Due to self-biasing, you can use your existing tubes without adjustment. Compatible tubes are from the 6L6 series.)
The VU meters are functional, but likely set to their initial configuration, so they don't move much unless the volume is significantly increased. There is some dirt inside the left meter.
Given the purchase price of the main unit and the vacuum tubes, this is priced very competitively, and we are not considering discounts at this time. We are currently using it interchangeably with other amplifiers, so we are not in a hurry to sell.
