This board was shaped by Dick Van Straaten, who has over 50 years of shaping experience and is a designer and shaper of progressive FISH boards in Australia.
He is also a shaper famously favored by Rasta.
This is a modern Simmons-style board from DVS, but with a deck concave from single to deep double, a narrower tail than a Simmons, and quad fins, it rides like a completely different board despite its Simmons-like appearance.
According to Dick, it's a dynamic, surf-skate style model. It truly is that kind of board.
This is a rare DVS hand-shape, with significantly fewer boards produced. While there are a fair number of pressure dings, mainly on the deck, it can still be ridden for a long time.
It can handle anything from mellow small waves to head-high waves.
