The Aiwa System was a revolutionary component system from the golden age of Showa-era mini-compo, so advanced for its time that critic Tetsuo Nagaoka declared it should have been released half a century later. This is truly a masterpiece among masterpieces.
Notably, this compact unit boasts an output of 50W x 50W. The power amplifier, with its massive toroidal transformer occupying most of the chassis, is impressive, so heavy that it almost pulls you forward when you lift it.
This listing is for the preamplifier, which I have been using occasionally until recently.
Despite its small size, it delivers crystal-clear sound.
It will be shipped using bubble wrap for cushioning.
Although it is currently in good working order, it is a very old amplifier, and there are no future guarantees.
I intend to perform maintenance until shipment.
