The Bellmite 13 uses a proprietary metal material with a higher specific gravity than lead (specific gravity approx. 13). Because it is high weight while maintaining a small size, it has a fast sinking speed and increased hardness, leading to improved sensitivity – similar to what is now known as tungsten.
