Gary Hanel PILL 5'2" Mini Simmons BMT Creme
Gary Hanel PILL 5'2
While categorized as a Mini Simmons, this board features a unique outline that allows for control with a shortboard-like feel.
I've taken good care of it, but I'm selling it as my collection has grown.
As shown in the photos, there are some signs of use such as foot marks, and several areas on the bottom and rails have been self-repaired. However, the nose and tail are in good condition.
There is no delamination, and fins are included, so you can ride it as is.
You can also find riding videos by searching gary hanel PILL on YouTube.
Preferably, please pick up the item. I can deliver it to you if you are in the Shonan area (Fujisawa, Chigasaki, Kamakura).

〈What is PILL〉
The PILL is Gary's answer to the recent trend of Mini Simmons.
Its outline, which utilizes a lot of curved lines that set it apart from typical Mini Simmons, long rail edges that extend near the center, and deep double concave between the fins, reminiscent of a Bonzer bottom, are harmoniously blended to provide excellent control.
This is Gary's masterpiece, combining the speed and flow of a Mini Simmons with high maneuverability.
〈Gary Hanel〉
He started shaping in a garage in North San Diego while working as a math teacher. After retiring from teaching, he now dedicates himself to shaping.
He began sanding work in 1978 and became a shaper, later working as a stock shaper at Moonlight Glassing.
Gradually expanding his customer base, he went on to work with RipCurl and Wayne Lynch. His mentors include legendary shapers who have left their mark on surfing history, such as Bill Shrosbee, Wayne Lynch, and Dan VanZanten.
His meticulous craftsmanship reflects his deep appreciation for art. He has been friends with Andy Davis, a renowned surf artist in Japan, through surfing for the past 15 years, and they have released premium boards featuring Andy's art on Gary's shapes.
Gary is also blessed with four sons. His third son, Peter, is currently active as a professional surfer.
