These are vintage monitors, but they are still excellent headphones that hold their own today.
DF stands for the DF standard, which is a broadcast standard used in Germany and other European countries.
Like Sony and Yamaha monitors, they produce the delicate, flat sound characteristic of true studio monitors.
With an impedance of 600 ohms (the standard for studios) and low sensitivity, they require playback through a high-output source such as a headphone amplifier or audio interface.
This is a rare, older model that is difficult to find, but it is in beautiful condition. Of course, it is made in Austria, not the current Chinese-made AKG.
No box or accessories are included. Only the headphones and a TRS jack plug are included.
This is a later model, as it has a TRS jack that fits over a stereo mini-jack.
Early models have a TRS jack.
