★ VICTOR CD-4 4CHANNEL STEREO RECEIVER MODEL GX-500 /550
A popular stereo receiver of its time.
This is a 4-channel receiver with a large presence, one of Victor's flagship audio products.
Its imposing stance, large radio dial window, and four power meters are the face that expresses the receiver's presence.
Its glamorous design, which evoked dreams of audio, captivated everyone at the time, making it a popular model that attracted fans regardless of who they were.
Even after more than 40 years, many fans are still captivated by this face whenever they see this receiver.
Regarding receivers, especially in overseas markets like the United States, perhaps due to their rationalistic national character, while separate components are popular in Japan, integrated amplifiers and tuners like this receiver are the most popular. It is said that receivers have become established as high-end audio equipment.
Among the audio equipment placed in upscale homes, receivers are said to be the top choice, especially those that are highly functional and integrated, rather than single components.
Indeed, when you see the incredibly high-end receivers from McIntosh, you can feel their value.
