These are turntable cartridge lead wires made with rare 1960 Western Electric 24GA solid core wire and custom gold-plated tips. While fabric-wrapped solid core wires are common, this PVC-coated vintage solid core wire is rare. Compared to fabric-wrapped cross-wire types, this wire offers a straight, low-center-of-gravity sound with delicate expression, making it suitable for a wide range of genres. We recommend this for those who are new to lead wire replacement or for those who found fabric-wrapped W.E. wires didn't quite suit them.

We have created custom tips that are highly resistant to accidental breakage during the often tricky process of attaching and detaching lead wires. The tips are designed for easy installation, making it difficult for even first-time users to make mistakes. Even if you bend them tightly, they are unlikely to break, allowing you to enjoy replacing the lead wires multiple times. In the unlikely event of damage, we will send a replacement. The standard length, including the terminals, is 4.5 cm. The custom tips measure 1 cm.

While it's a standard and versatile choice, it's particularly perfect for records with strong drum beats, such as those by D'Angelo, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Prince, J Dilla, and Questlove.

While manufacturer-made lead wires are certainly not bad, the purity of the materials used by WE and Belden in that era, when high-quality metals were abundant, is on a completely different level compared to modern wires that use melted and reused existing copper. This allows for the most musical transmission of signals from your records.

You can experience the nuances of the performers more deeply, and achieve monitoring with such resolution and depth that you can grasp the intentions of the mixing and mastering. Sounds that might be harsh with regular lead wires become completely different with lead wires made from high-purity materials. Of course, sound preferences vary from person to person, but with vintage wires, you can achieve a noticeable improvement in sound quality with just one listen.

The connection terminals, or tips, can be easily adjusted to fit the size of your cartridge and headshell terminals.
