TANNOY-style Tannoy-style woofer woofer GAUSS 4882 46cm

I am listing a Tannoy-style subwoofer that was custom-made at a furniture store in Kanagawa Prefecture.

This was created to enhance low frequencies and is compatible with 46cm speaker sizes.

It is equipped with a GAUSS 4882 speaker. The speaker was advertised as a fully functional, working item when purchased used from a second-hand store. Currently, it produces low frequencies, but I cannot confirm if the full range of low frequencies is being reproduced. When played at high volumes, it generates sound pressure that makes the furniture in the room creak.

The enclosure is made of solid walnut and walnut veneer. The slits on the sides of the enclosure are vertically carved-out sections designed to achieve a bass reflex effect. There are no bass reflex ports inside, only these slits.

Additionally, as it is currently configured with only the speaker, a channel divider or similar device will be necessary to extract only the low-frequency output.

Regarding the exterior, there are some minor scratches on the top panel. The speaker terminals are two high-end WBT silver speaker terminals. No solder was used when connecting the speaker cables.

I have always admired the appearance of Tannoy speakers, which led me to have this enclosure custom-made by a furniture store. With the included speaker unit and its beautiful exterior, please consider this item.
