New Handmade Squid Rigging Frame, 11cm Plastic Squid, Swing Arm, Rig Winder, Yari Squid, ①

This is a set of 2 handmade squid fishing rigs. These are designed for buranko (swinging rig) style fishing.
They can also be used for jiketsu (direct connection) style.
They are primarily for 11cm and 14cm lures, but 18cm will also fit.
They are also good for organizing pufferfish kattou (cut-away) rigs.

The wood used is cypress, which has good water resistance.
The wood dimensions are 24mm x 12mm rectangular, 30cm in length.
The rods for the rig are made of stainless steel (SUS304) with a diameter of 5mm. Unlike wannabe rigs that use wooden rods, these will not bend even under strong pulling force.
4mm rods are too thin and will flex too much.
The rods are driven in without using adhesives (this is the key point!).
The protruding length of the rods is approximately 120mm for the longer ones.
Since the protruding length of the rods is longer than commercially available products, you can attach more corners.
Depending on the number of ukisutte (float lures) and komasesutte (small lures), you can easily attach 10 corners, making this a great product for those who want to attach many.

Reasons why other rigs are not ideal:
With wood, if you use soft woods like cedar or unpainted wood, the rod part will quickly loosen and become wobbly.
Also, iron rods will rust, and aluminum rods are too soft and will bend unless they are quite thick.
You can feel this if you give them a slight tug at a home improvement store.

They fit neatly into an Abu Garcia long case.
In my case, I can fit 6 rigs and store small accessories or commercial rigs in the gaps.
