My handmade 50 back-loaded horn is SOLD-OUT, but some of you may still regret it.
Although the wood grain differs, I have selected units with good grain and decided to build one more set to the same specifications.
This is a pre-order listing for that set.

I've adopted a highly efficient, unmarked 10cm speaker unit that I judged at first listen to be suitable for back-loaded horns, delivering a clear and bright sound.
For small back-loaded horns, the low frequencies are inherently narrow in range even with effort, so the theory is to prioritize securing a clean bass line and **not be greedy**. I've secured a 1m sound path to achieve the pom pom to bom bom sound.
I've self-rated the low frequencies (upgraded to ★2), but due to the volume and resonance, it may be a matter of preference. However, for those who like mid and high frequencies, it's generally designed for a wide audience. It has the characteristic expansive sound of a back-loaded horn, and the frequency balance, which doesn't demand a lot of low-end, feels **especially good for classical music**. Vocals are also forward, and the high-frequency extension is so good that there's no room for a tweeter.

A longer sound path isn't always better; appropriate settings tailored to the unit are required. The sound of a back-loaded horn is largely determined by the throat cross-sectional area and air chamber volume. This throat cross-sectional area ratio is unit-dependent and not an absolute value.
The flare (expansion) is also a matter of preference, but I've slightly narrowed it depending on the balance between low-frequency volume and acoustic properties.
All kos-k speakers are assembled provisionally, and the sound output and balance of each note are judged by my own ears.
Even the low frequencies below f0 can vary greatly depending on the unit, so replacing the unit is not recommended, but I have prepared some modest accessories.
