Description
This is a Nichicon manufactured metallized polyester film capacitor (non-polarized). It can be used for speaker networks, adding tweeters, and DIY speakers.
I compared it to a metallized polypropylene film capacitor of the same capacitance connected to a speaker and could not discern any difference.
The diagram in the 4th photo shows an example of use when adding a tweeter with only the capacitor.
By connecting two in parallel, you can achieve 4.4μF, and by connecting them in series, you can achieve 1.1μF, allowing you to adjust the crossover frequency.
You can also use it to slightly increase the volume of high frequencies in your existing speaker system's network by adding a capacitor (connecting it in parallel with the existing capacitor). (Please do this at your own risk.)
