Description
These are vintage Hi-Test Pecos boots. They might be called engineer boots because they have a steel plate up to the instep and an oil-resistant sole.
The leather is pt83 and shows almost no signs of wear.
When worn with wide or long pants, they add a sense of volume, making regular boots feel insufficient. Unlike the old days when skinny pants were worn with engineer boots, the toe shape is easy to pair with painter pants or double-knee pants.
The size is 11D, which is a perfect fit for me as I wear a size 29 in sneakers.
They are rarer and more recommended than Red Wing boots.
